Campaign Description

This campaign is in preparation for the start of semester and consists of two pop-up messages, one targeted at students and one at instructors. These pop-ups can appear when student and instructors first log back into Blackboard before the to wish them a great semester and to inform them about the official semester start date and their courses. In both messages, there is specific information for students and instructors with instructions on how to complete a ‘course sync’ if their courses are not showing up in FlashLine.

Success Criteria

The students and instructors will be notified on Blackboard about the official semester start date and will be reminded about how to manage courses on FlashLine.

Hello Professor Rachel Bungo,  The start of the semester for full-term courses is Thursday, August 22nd.  Please be sure to make your course available to students on/or before this date.  If you completed a ‘course-copy’, use the Date Management Tool to quickly update availability dates of specific items for this semester.  If a course you are assigned to teach in FlashLine is not showing on your course list, or if students are missing from the Blackboard roster, you may need to complete a ‘course sync’.  Have a great semester!

Hi Rachel, The start of the semester for full-term courses is Thursday, August 22nd. If you see a course on your list but it is ‘not currently available’ please wait until after the official start date before contacting your instructor to make it available.  Only the instructor has the authority to make a course and content within a course available.  If you do not see a course on your list in Blackboard, but you are showing registered for it in FlashLine, you may need to unhide it from your list or complete a ‘course sync’. Have a great semester!
