Connect Content to a Context using the Help Item Overview

Follow the steps below to connect your message to your Context through the EesySoft web application.

1.

TIP! It’s a good idea to have a practice run in your staging environment first.

Log into your Eesysoft web application and navigate to the Help Item Overview by clicking on the Management box on the dashboard or using the menu bar on the left of the screen.

2.

Click on the Content which you want to connect to a Context.

Any existing connections will be detailed in the Connected Contexts section of the Basic Properties on the right.

3.

Click on the button and select the Context from the dropdown or by starting to type.

If you’re not sure of the name of the Context to which you want to attach the Help Item, you will need to refer back to the Context in the EesyProducer to find the name assigned to the desired Context.

The Context names start with the name applied to the page Context at the time of Screen Capture.

The second part of the name relates to a section of page Context where applicable. At page Context level, this is simply set to “Page”.

4.

Finally, depending on your Content type, you might need to reset the Mode.

To see what this is and how it works, jump to The Mode setting – what it does and how to set it
